The Georgia Tech Softball team will be in Arizona this weekend, playing in Tempe against Oregon State, Arizona, Cal Poly, San Diego State, and Nebraska. The game times are: Friday 2/10, 8:30 am Friday 2/10, 2 pm Saturday 2/11, 4:30 pm Saturday 2/11, 7 pm Sunday 2/12, 11 am The team is ranked 23rd in the county and is picked to win the ACC this year. Come out and cheer on the Yellow Jackets in Tempe this weekend! If you're interested in going to one (or more) of the games and would like to meet up with other alumni there, send me an email ( president@gtazclub.org) letting me know which day or days you'll be going and I'll send an email out to everyone that's interested. |

For the 19th consecutive year, Georgia Tech plays an ESPN Thursday night game. Both teams should be fresh as their last games were on October 28th.
Come watch the #23 Yellow Jackets take on the #12 ranked Hokies on Thursday, November 10 at 6PM Arizona time at one of our two game watching locations!
We are asking everyone who attends to bring a canned good that will be donated to a local food bank. Let's help our local communities!
The Phoenix area game watching will be hosted at the home of Greg Lutter in East Mesa.

Georgia Tech becomes bowl eligible with a win! The Arizona Georgia Tech Club will host game watchings at the Upper Deck in Scottsdale and at the Fox and Hound in Tucson this Saturday at 9AM. From the Ramblinwreck.com game notes: Georgia Tech, ranked 13th in both national polls and off to its best start since 1990, hosts Maryland Saturday at Bobby DoddStadium in the first meeting between the two teams since 2007 (9AM MST/ESPNU). The Yellow Jackets, 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the ACC, earned a key road win at NC State on Saturday, 45-35. Junior Orwin Smithrushed for three touchdowns and sophomore Isaiah Johnson returned an interception for a touchdown in the Tech victory. The Jackets led 42-14 with 10 minutes left. Georgia Tech leads the nation in rushing (378.2 ypg) and ranks second nationally in scoring (51.6 ppg) and total offense (587.0 ypg). Smith averages 15.1 yards per carry and has rushed for seven touchdowns, and junior quarterback Tevin Washingtonhas thrown for 10 TD passes and just one interception. |

Georgia Tech takes their undefeated record (4-0) and their ranking of 21 in both the AP and Coaches' polls into Raleigh on Saturday. Tech ranks first in the nation in total offense (630.5 ypg), scoring (53.2 ppg), and passing efficiency (283.5). NC State is 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the ACC.
